Experience Manatee Kayaking Near Orlando at Blue Springs

5.0 (38 reviews) · By AWA Kayak Tours

Experience the magic of Florida’s wildlife with a guided kayaking tour near Orlando at Blue Springs. Just about an hour from the airport, this spot becomes a haven for manatees during the colder months, with over 600 of these gentle giants migrating to the warm 72-degree waters each year.

As we paddle along Florida’s longest river, the St. Johns, you’ll have the chance to spot not only manatees but also alligators, turtles, and a variety of bird species. From November to March, Blue Springs transforms into a protected manatee sanctuary, closed to swimmers and paddlers to ensure their safety. Our sit-on-top kayaks provide an excellent view of these peaceful creatures as they glide by.

This tour is perfect for families and small groups, with a maximum of 6 kayaks per session. Whether you're an experienced paddler or a first-timer, our tours are suitable for all fitness levels. Just remember, there's a weight limit of 250 lbs for single kayaks and 450 lbs for tandem kayaks.
